Candidates Filing Opens May 13th
The "big" election (Presidential) is complete for another 3 years (although we're sure to see campaigning for 2016 start any day) we have some local seats opening up which will be voted on this coming November.
If you are interested in running for City Council (4 seats open) or School Board (2 seats open) - you can file for candidacy starting May 13th.

I encourage anyone who is thinking of running to speak with several current or former electeds to get a better idea of what is involved. Each person you speak with will give you a different perspective and might even have helpful tips for campaigning.
