Building a better community every day!
Every year the Washington State Board of Education provides a rating for every public school in the state. The rating is called the Achievement Index. It is a comprehensive rating that takes into account student performance in the following areas:
Each school is assigned an index number between 1 and 7. The index number is then translated in to one of 5 levels as follows:
|Level||Index Range||% of state schools in level|
|Exemplary||5.50 - 7.00||11%|
|Very Good||5.00 - 5.49||15%|
|Good||4.00 - 4.99||37%|
|Fair||2.50 - 3.99||29%|
|Struggling||1.00 - 2.49||7%|
