Pay to read - Seattle Times moves to subscription based access

The Seattle Times is moving to a subscription based access to their online version of the paper, Executive Editor David Boardman announced on Sunday. The pay to view model will start sometime in March. Following other papers including The New York Times, print subscribers will receive unlimited access to online version. The Washington Post has also hinted they will move to a pay for view model as well.

If you don't subscribe to a paper, and would prefer to access online news, there are still plenty of no pay options including:
Fox News, MSNBC, USA Today, CNN, Huffington Post, Bloomberg and Tukwila Reporter.

Thanks, Ellen. I have been expecting this for a while. Hopefully, the digital version will be less expensive and more user friendly in its layout. Some major newspapers are available on the KCLS database (less photos). Seattle Times is not one of the at the present time.
