Tukwila Grocery Shopping

I hear that they may be looking for a grocery store to replace Tukwila Traders. This might be a good time to be talking to stores we want in this area? We have Safeway but what about an Albertson's or a QFC? Traders Joes would be nice but I wonder if we have a market place for it. A Fred Meyer would really be nice so we would have a "variety store" to shop at instead of having to go to Renton or Burien.

I was just up in West Seattle to go grocery shopping and I was saying how I wish Tukwila had more variety of grocery shopping. I love to shop at PCC, Trader Joes or Metropolitan market. I love the variety and choices. We do not have any healthier food store options here in the Tukwila area. I sorely miss that so I find myself having shop out of the area.

Comment by Barbara Bader on December 25, 2012 at 10:26am: I think Fred Meyer may be a good fit especially since the Burien one is always so busy it would take some preasure off that store. I love both Trader Joe's and QFC but I doubt the demographics would support either. Albertsons would also be a good fit. I also like Safeway but with one so close I doubt they would be interested.
